Quick Overview

Rubber debossed bracelet stating "Labor Creates All Wealth"

$5 for the Working Class

The 1% tells us they are "job creators." But they tell us that in order to create jobs, the 99% needs to take cutbacks, privatize services, increase tuition, roll back protections on the environment, take away workers rights, and accept lower wages, longer hours, and worse working conditions. All of this while the 1% already sits on record profits of $1.6 trillion for 2010.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, one of the richest men in the United States, claims he wants to create jobs. But since 2008, Howard has laid off over 21,000 workers, even while raking in record profits of $1.7 billion in the last year alone through the chronic understaffing of stores and exploitation of a 100% part-time poverty wage workforce. So is Howard going to use his profits to give workers full-time hours, increase wages, and hire enough workers to staff the stores properly?

No. Howard wants $5 of your hard-earned money to loan to other business owners to invest.

$5 for the bloated "job creator" class? We've got a better idea.

Unless the working class fights back for a larger share of the wealth, the capitalists will give us less and less. That's why we're asking you to take your $5 and donate it to the IWW Starbucks Workers Union, a group of workers who have taken a stand, demanding that if CEO Howard Schultz wants to create good jobs, then he should start with his own employees.

We don't need the "job creators." We need protests, work stoppages, and strikes to remind the employing class that Labor Creates All Wealth, and the time will come that all wealth shall go to labor.

Join the movement. Visit iww.org to find out how you can fight back on the job, and win.
