This zine provides an introduction to the most important organizing tool: the 1-on-1 organizing conversation. It covers succinctly how to discuss workplace grievances with coworkers (Agitate!), how to think through a plan for direct action (Educate!), how to address people’s fears and minimize risks of retaliation (Inoculate!), how to share organizing tasks that move towards action (Organize!), and how to follow-up and debrief with coworkers in the lead up to and after having taken action (Uplift!). This AEIOU framework is the same one the IWW’s Organizer Training 101 uses, and this zine can act as a preview to or refresher of some core ideas from that training.
